(More to Come)

His most widely read works are his runs writing Wonder Woman (penciled by Mike Deodato), The Flash (penciled by Greg Larocque), Impulse, and The Maxx (illustrated and co-written by Sam Kieth) in the 1990s. His most critically acclaimed works are Epicurus the Sage (illustrated by Sam Kieth), as well as Journey and Journey: Wardrums (both self-illustrated). He also wrote the Jonny Quest comic book published by Comico.

His right arm was amputated in infancy because of a cancerous tumor. His financial situation following years of limited freelance work and the loss of his and his wife's home in the early 2000s was publicized in the local newspaper and comics news sites and message boards on the Internet. He is writing again, having completed a Green Arrow story in 2006. In addition, he is working on two novels about a wanderer in 19th century Michigan. His most recent work can be seen in The Three Tenors (Aardwolf Publishing).
A Pro Comics artist since 1988, Eddy's first Pro work was providing the pencil art for 10 page back up story in the Twilight Zone #1 (Now Comics).   Eddy is an artist with a terrifically subtle, evocative yet powerful style who is now renowned as the artist of DC's Black Lightning.  He is also a great fantasy artist, providing numerous painted covers for Now Comics!

In addition to his Black Lightning fame, some more of Eddy's credits are: JSA Secret Files, Superman, the Green Hornet, Daredevil, Lost in Space, Teen Titans and Werewolf: The Apocalypse.
Graphic Artist by trade. Comics and cartoons are my life though. I like all sorts of movies, mostly dramatic television, and most other media. I enjoy photography. I contribute to The Uncommon Sense, editing their comics department , writing articles, taking an occasional picture, drawing spot illustrations, and doing comic and editorial strips for them. I own my own company, I've self-published my own comic books, and have gotten close enough to that "big Hollywood deal" to become cynical about Hollywood all together.
A Washington, D.C. native now living in Columbus, Oh graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design with a degree in illustration/design and a minor in fashion. Uko is becoming known for his unique style for the erotic pinup and his sensual style of work. Collectors and admirers of his work have come to notice his distinctive use of linework and stylized realization. Always looking to make his work distinguished from others in the field, he blends his style of design and illustration into a very unique package that definitely separates it from others.

As always admiring the female form, Uko gives great attention to the emotion and alluring look of his females whether it be the eyes, hair or clothing designs he decides to adorn them with( if any at all). His attraction to the female form “goes way back as a young child to looking through lots of Frazetta books and Playboy magazines. Inspirational artists that Uko has admired throughout the years are aformentioned Frazetta, Michelangelo, Robert McGinnis, John Byrne, Kevin Nowlan, Serpieri, Bridgman, Vargas, Petty, Larry Stroman are just a few on the list.

Buyers of his work have included Julie Strain, Veronika of Echo Gallery and other noted models in the industry and followers of pinup art. Uko has published four portfolios titled “Visions of Erotica”, illustrating themes of fetish, fashion and nude modeling. There is one common theme throughout his work and that is the women that he portrays always have a strong femininity to them.

Not only is he a successful artist in the erotic art market, Uko has also been published in the field of comic books and the RPG industry. After being featured in the Nov.2005 issue of Heavy Metal, Uko’s popularity is steadily growing into one of consistency in the field. Uko has recently finished a comic featuring Bodybuilding Professional Colette Nelson. Along with the success of his work, an online comic featuring one of his creations will be available on his site titled Salem Erotica.

A Brief History

By Tom Sullivan

My Genetic structure was altered at age 5 when I saw the first half of the original King Kong. I reckon this happened about 1960. The island and dinosaurs magical look stunned me. Curiosity about new mysteries started to become a creative obsession. After seeing what I could of this action filled adventure set in a fantastic world, I wanted to go to Skull Island. It took a year to see the full film thanks to a vigilant Mom. Thanks Mom.

I knew immediately that adults made this film and if that is a career option then sign me up. I started drawing and sculpting dinosaurs and reading all I could about movies, dinosaurs and monsters Read More...
So, let's start with some basic facts. I'm a nerd. A huge nerd. The reasons why I can be classified as a nerd could go on for quite a while. So, let's just start with one of the reasons, the very reason that probably brought you to my little slice of internet - I dress up like superheroes. I have been sewing since I was little, and my late aunt bought me my first sewing machine and taught me how to use it. I started out making patchwork blankets and pillows and very slowly branched out into trying to make clothing. After much trial and error and many years of learning how to sew a straight line, I began making my own costumes and attending conventions. Around the time I started making my costumes, I got into modeling Read More...
