In November 2008, more than 3,000 fantasy, sci-fi, art collectors, horror lovers, comic collectors, toy collectors and pop culture aficionados will gather to “Make the Xcape” at the Holiday Inn Gateway Center in Flint. At around 50 pages, the Official Program is the road map attendees rely on to maximize their conference experience. It contains detailed descriptions and photographs of all events and program sessions, maps of hotels and convention venues, a chart of the exhibition hall, full descriptions of exhibitors, celebrity articles and much more. The program serves not only as a guide to the convention, but as a year-round reference of the organizations and people who comprise the multi-genres exhibited.
Certainly, exhibitors use program advertising as a means of previewing their products and services and to invite attendees to their booths. But non-exhibitors recognize this as a once-a-year opportunity to put their message in front of a large group of potential customers. An ad in the program positions your company as an active supporter of the arts, and is a great marketing tool that will pay dividends throughout the year.

Program Book and Web Presence
The official Program Book is a collectable as well as a “must have” for patrons while they are enjoying the convention and beyond. The place to find relevant information while at the event becomes a valuable resource after the event with a shelf-life that keeps on going. Your Program Book ad will continue to bring your company’s message to patrons and guests long after XcapeCon has ended. Placement in our program book includes placement on our website, giving patrons a quick link to your business.

Show Bag Insert Program
Use this Show Bag Insert program to put your ad into the hands of patrons. Inserts are 4 x 6 full color card ads, at a print run of 5,000. These ads are placed in every show bag given to our patrons, placed on our Information table and included in mailings.
Have a promotional product to give away? This program is a great way to distribute promotional products as well. Promotional products, 3,000 units supplied by you, can be distributed along with your ad card in our show bag.

Contributing Sponsor

Positioning
Your company’s name will be listed as an official Co-Sponsor of XcapeCon. Your company will receive premier placement of your company logo and descriptor on the dedicated sponsor page in the official Program book as well as your company’s name highlighted in exhibitor index in the official Program Book.

Online & Print Exposure
Logo placement on XcapeCon’s main web page with link. Mention in 2 radio spots, as well as on promotional postcards and other materials – minimum of 25,000 produced. Logo Placement on XcapeCon ads running in periodicals and newspapers (all regional at this time). A two sided full color 4x6 ad card – 5,000 printed – for show bag inserts and distribution. Your business logo on a minimum of 3,000 show bags to be distributed to our patrons.

Onsite Signage & Exposure
Placement of logo on our main banner and exhibit posters placed in high traffic locations outside exhibit hall. Logo on official volunteer shirts – 500 distributed and worn by our volunteers throughout the event. PA announcements in the Exhibit Hall – 4x per day.

Public Relations
Name recognition in all press releases as official co-sponsor. Ability to utilize onsite press room for your media purposes. Ability to put press releases pertaining to your XcapeCon presence in the press room.

Hospitality
20 All-Access badges. Housing – discounted hotel room block(sponsor responsible for full payment of rooms reserved) Access to hotel suite for one night to host a private party (sponsor responsible for full payment of catering services). A dealer’s booth in the exhibit hall will be available to showcase products.

Event Sponsor

Our Special Event Sponsorships offer unique opportunities to bring your company’s branding to the forefront. Check out these very visible options for maximizing your exposure: Costume Contest, Cosplay Contest, Art Contest, Door Prizes, Guest Relations, VIP Room, After Party, Film Viewing and Speaker Room.
Due to each event having different needs and different budgets, Event Sponsorships are tailored to the contribution of each sponsor and the sponsors advertising budget. There can be two and no more than four sponsors per each event. Positioning remains the same no matter the contribution of the sponsor. Individualized Event Sponsor Contracts will be constructed for each sponsor.

Your company’s name will be listed as the official Event Sponsor of the XcapeCon event. Your company will receive placement of your company logo and descriptor on the Event page in the official Program book as well as your company’s name highlighted in exhibitor index in the official Program Book. Submitting Format for Program Book Ads

Only black and white ads will be accepted. Electronic files preferred. All ads should be to size and submitted as high res (300 dpi) PDFs, Jpegs, or TIFFs unless otherwise specified by XcapeCon with embedded fonts. If other file formats are submitted, XcapeCon, if the client desires, can attempt to convert to PDF/Jpeg without cost. If the file cannot be converted the advertiser will be notified immediately in order to submit a new file.
Spreads should be submitted as single page PDF. Electronic files should be transmitted by email, CD, Zip, FTP or file share. Please contact your XcapeCon representative for FTP and file share instructions.


Submitting Format for Web Information

All picture files, such as logos, should be in Jpeg or Bitmap file formats at 72 to 150 dpi. Pre-designed banners in java or flash format, should include all necessary files and Html code and to standard scale.
