WHAT IS XcapeCON?
XcapeCON is a consumer and trade experience focusing on Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and Pulp culture multi-media artists and enthusiasts.
XcapeCON 1 was the largest consumer multi-genre show to happen in the Tri-City area in over 20 years. Near one thousand patrons converged to meet celebrities, enjoy exhibit hall booths, view Anime and Indy films, hear upcoming bands, as well as participate in costume contests and other activities.
Dark Elf Designs is proud to present XcapeCON 2 with double the exhibits of XcapeCON 1. From serious fans to those simply curious, activities such as costume contests, art contests, celebrity signings, films and music will provide a “Great XCAPE” for everyone.
Along with multi-media collectibles and published works, many artists, writers, publishers and dealers utilize this opportunity to introduce new creations, products, and technology. From finding a rare collectible to having a favorite childhood comic signed to viewing the latest in art technology, XcapeCON is about escaping the mediocre everyday to experience creativity and have fun.
WHERE IS IT HELD?
XcapeCON 2 will be held November 22nd and 23rd at the Holiday Inn Gateway Center in Flint, MI. With over a hundred exhibits and great activities, XcapeCON is a great place to find that unique gift or get away and have fun before the rush of the holiday season.
WHAT EVENTS HAPPEN AT XcapeCON 2?
XcapeCON 2 is two days filled with great activities and events such as:
Two costume contests including a cosplay contest, an art contest, film festival, panels and Q&A sessions, a costume parade, door prize drawings, over 100 exhibitor booths and more.
NEW FOR 2008
Kid Friendly
Families attending XcapeCON 2 will find special "Little Elf" signs on the exhibit hall floor designating artists, publishers and dealers that offer kid friendly materials.
TO ATTEND XcapeCON
XcapeCON 2 will be open to the public Saturday, November 22nd and Sunday, November 23rd. The exhibit hall will be open for specific hours each day and will take place at the Holiday Inn Gateway Center in Flint, MI.
Attendees must purchase a ticket to gain entrance to the show. Pre-registration at a special rate is available on line. Tickets will also be available at the door at regular entrance fee.

THE CREATION OF XcapeCON
Dark Elf Design’s owner, Brian Germain, is the visionary behind XcapeCON. After years of wanting to provide a showplace to introduce the unique works of the artists and multi media members of Dark Elf Designs, finally, in 2007 an opportunity arose. He contacted his long time business partner of partnered company COM Publishing and XcapeCON became a reality. With two months of preparation, XcapeCON 1 was a great success as noted from exhibitors and patrons alike. Brian hopes to make XcapeCON an annual event always providing unique exhibits and fun events to escape to.
